Small pieces of browser state, plainly explained
Tool Swim uses essential browser storage to keep accounts secure and remember a few interface preferences. Public tools do not need advertising cookies to work.
What Tool Swim stores
A cookie is sent with matching web requests. Local storage remains in the browser until you clear it. Both can be removed through browser settings, although removing essential state may sign you out.
Account and sign-in cookies
When you sign in, essential HTTP-only cookies maintain the secure session and complete short-lived callback checks. They support account access and fraud prevention and are not available to page scripts.
Interface preferences
Tool Swim can remember theme preference in local storage. The signed-in dashboard can also store whether its sidebar is open. These values change the interface and do not contain your tool input or generated output.
External account and payment pages
If you choose to sign in or pay, the secure account or checkout page may set its own necessary cookies under that service's policy. Tool Swim does not place API keys, QR payloads, filenames, or image content in cookies.
Analytics and advertising
Tool Swim does not use advertising cookies in its own application.
Optional first-party telemetry, when offered, requires affirmative consent and is limited to coarse, content-free events. Declining or blocking telemetry never prevents a public browser tool from working.
